December Greetings!

It was wonderful seeing so many Yarn Crawlers out last month. I hope you all had as much fun as we did. We’re doing it again next year over the first 10 days of October so you’ll have more time to get around to all the stores. Mark your calendars!

We’ve heard from many people that they’re behind on holiday gifts – I am, too. We’re going to help you by moving our December sale to November. If you need a gift for a knitter or stitcher, or you’re looking for quick items to make, we have ideas and great prices. How about interesting new scarf?– make one in an hour! We have an exclusive kit for two Christmas ornaments for under $10. You can make both in an evening or two – great for an ornament exchange. We have fabulous new scarf pins from gita maria, Plymouth, and others. We have 2 Skacel knitters bracelets left and all jewelry, including scarf pins, is 20% off this month.

Books and buttons are on sale for 20 % off. All kits are 30% off, including Hanne Falkenberg, and needlepoint kits. We are leaving the knitters play pen set up, and have added to it since the yarn crawl. We have lots of new yarn coming in this month, so we have to move some out. There are really good deals in there, so hop right in.

We have a cute new book, AMIGURUMI KNITS. It has patterns for mini knits – veggies, insects, and sea life. They take little yarn and knit quickly. From Cascade we have Lana Bamboo, a super soft wool and bamboo worsted weight blend, and Alpaca Lace, a Baby Alpaca lace weight yarn in lovely heathery shades. Kid Seta is a super kid mohair and silk blend that feels wonderful and knits up quickly at 5 stitch to 1 inch.

From Classic Elite we have Classic Silk, a cotton, silk, and nylon blend that has a wonderful hand. Chesapeake is organic cotton and merino. It knits at 5 stitches to 1 inch and shows cables and stitch details beautifully. We have new colors of Miracle, a DK weight alpaca and Tencel blend that has a soft glow and feel.

We have a few skeins (mostly fall colors) of Hand Painted Knitting Yarns Giant Skeins. These are 720 yards of 12 different yarns all dyed with the same color repeats that knit on #7 to #9 needles. They make fabulous garments or throws. We have free patterns for them, and more colors on order.

We have a limited selection of HiyaHiya Steel Needles, including some interchangeable kits. They are incredibly light and easy to hold. If we get a good response to them, we’ll stock them all the time. Stop by and try them, and give us your opinion. We also have a selection of gift cards for you to attach to your knitted and crocheted gifts. There are spaces for the yarn, fiber content and care instructions, and they have darling sheep on them. They are THE finishing touch for your hand crafted gift.
